Bloomberg Article on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Quotes Saturna Capital’s Dan Kim

News Article

Bellingham, WA, July 15, 2024 – Dan Kim, CFA, portfolio manager and senior investment analyst at Saturna Capital, was quoted in the Bloomberg article “BlackRock, BNP See Plenty of AI Fuel Left to Drive Equity Rally,” which was published on July 2, 2024.

The article examined the artificial intelligence (AI) boom and relayed that investors and marketing strategists “expect all things AI to feature among the prominent themes in the second half of the year.” Mega-cap favorite Nvidia is expected to remain front and center, while beneficiaries of AI may be close behind and approaching the lead. The expectation from market analysts is that AI firms should be finding ways to monetize AI over the next few years or risk “potential down pressure on share prices.”

Mr. Kim commented that “we’re witnessing a surge of innovation that’s likely to drive economic upside relative to market expectations over the next several years.”

Dan Kim, CFA®, is a senior investment analyst and the portfolio manager of Sextant International Fund. He joined Saturna Capital in March of 2023.
