Investor’s Business Daily Recognizes Amana Growth and Sextant International on Best Mutual Funds 2022 Awards List

Amana Growth and Sextant International Among Funds Recognized

Investor's Business Daily - Best Mutual Funds 2022

March 21, 2022 – Financial news and research organization Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) has announced that Amana Growth Fund and Sextant International Fund are among the recipients of their seventh annual Best Mutual Funds 2022 Awards for long-term performance.

Amana Growth Fund placed in three categories: Best Growth Stock Mutual Funds, Best Large-Cap Stock Funds, and Best US Diversified Mutual Funds. Sextant International Fund appeared on the list of Best International Stock Mutual Funds.

IBD’s selection method for their awards starts with identifying the funds in the Morningstar mutual fund universe that have at least 10 years of returns. Within that group, the funds that outperformed their respective benchmark indices for each of the previous one-, three-, five-, and 10-year periods are those that appear on IBD’s list.

“At Saturna Capital, we follow a long-term, value-oriented, and sustainable approach to investing, striving to deliver strong and consistent investment returns to our shareholders despite what the markets might throw at us,” said Jane Carten, president of Saturna Capital. “We are honored to be recognized for our efforts.”

“We are pleased IBD has acknowledged Saturna Capital for providing value to our shareowners,” said Scott Klimo, CFA, Saturna’s chief investment officer and portfolio manager of the Amana Growth Fund. “Inclusion among IBD’s Best Mutual Funds differentiates our firm by demonstrating our long track record of consistent performance, helping our investors achieve their financial goals.”

Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Generally, an investment that offers a higher potential return will have a higher risk of loss. Stock prices fluctuate, sometimes quickly and significantly, for a broad range of reasons that may affect individual companies, industries, or sectors. Investing in foreign securities involves risks not typically associated directly with investing in US securities. These risks include fluctuations in exchange rates of foreign currencies; less public information with respect to issuers of securities; less governmental supervision of exchanges, issuers, and brokers; and lack of uniform accounting, auditing, and financial reporting standards. There is also a risk of adverse political, social, or diplomatic developments that affect investment in foreign countries.
