Industry Veteran Ron Fielding Joins Saturna Investment Trust Board
Bellingham, WA (January 1, 2010) — Saturna Investment Trust, which includes Sextant family of funds, is pleased to announce that mutual fund industry veteran Ronald H. Fielding has joined its Board of Trustees.
As former OppenheimerFunds, Inc. Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Fielding ran Oppenheimer’s Rochester Division where he managed more than $20 billion in state and municipal fixed income funds until his retirement in May 2009. His financial industry career spans three decades, beginning in 1983 as founder and president of Fielding Management Company, Inc. and co-founder of Rochester Capital Advisors. Both firms were investment advisers to the Rochester Funds. OppenheimerFunds acquired the Rochester Funds in 1996.

"We are particularly looking forward to maximizing his insights into fund management as the Sextant Funds continue to gain growth momentum," he added.
Mr. Fielding earned his bachelor’s degree from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD, and a master's degree in economics and an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
